There’s clearly the misplaced myth that print is editorially, morally and intellectually superior to television.
After all, the average 300-word news report is just as shallow or meaningful as the average 3 minute news story.
Yes, some eloquent and researched features or op-eds have substance. But no more than TV’s own longer form features. For example, an award-winning documentary News X just did on global warming in the Arctic is far superior to any article I’ve seen on the subject.
