The UPA government is rolling from one crisis to another: Dantewada, IPL and now phone tapping. And as always the Congress led government is doing what it is best at, holding operations without addressing the issues and even bothering to clear up the mess.

Union Home Minister P.Chidamabram was almost in tears in Parliament as he tried to defend the government and himself on the Maoist issue. Aware of the flak coming his way from the Congress – Digvijay Singh,Mani Shankar Aiyar being just two of the many within – he tried to put on a brave front and convince the skeptical Opposition that he had a free hand in tackling the Maoist problem, and that the government had not just a policy but even strategy in place.
